Hey I just started on a new med.

I have jerky movements in my hands that make doing artwork a pain in the ass.
Unsteady, clumsy. My legs always twitching and tense..

Well my doc prescribed me Austedo

I have to get it from a specialty pharmacy and get it delivered and I have to sign for the delivery. Luckily it is delivered in a 7am to 7 pm in a 24 hour time window.

I have taken 2 pills so far. One last night and one this morning, and just took my third dose tonight. So far no side effects either. I was told it could take up to a month to see good results.

Today as I was petting Othello, I noticed my hand didnt twitch. I got so excited. I held my arms out straight and watched my hands in the mirror and they were STILL fucking still, steady and twitch and shake free.

I got choked up I was so happy. Now I have ideas coming for what art stuff I wanna make and this shit with my hands has been going on for years.the last two years it got really hard to do the kind of detailed , precise almost anal retentive work I like to do.

My legs tense up and twitch a lot less.

If you have any symptoms like this talk to your doc about it because for me this Austedo shit kicks ass.

If you don’t care to share, of course that’s okay!

I have what’s called essential tremor. Luckily it’s very mild and only effects one hand, but still is a pain.

Thx for sharing! I’m going to read about it

I’m sure it was from taking antidepressants years ago. Started on Prozac and after a year I began shaking. They switched to the newer one and the same thing. Years latter they tried the one use to quit smoking and it came back again.
All of them had tremors listed as a not common side effect. None of those doctors picked up on it.
Now exercise and mindfulness help with the depression. Still get the shakes, but don’t want to take another pill.
I will look into this one and read about ALL the side effects.

Diagnosed with tardive dyskinesia in my legs years ago. However someone told me my hands look like an essential tremor .

Either way the steadyness seems to be holding and still no side effects to speak of.

imagine having to give up my passion to be creative due to hand tremors.

Keep us posted on your progress and give Othello a big hug.

When doing detailed painting of little egyptian god statues is enough to make you rip your fur out.

Gradually have been getting back to painting them. I have a super fine brush with like 4 hairs in it. Did perfect eyeliner on Tatanen's eyes today
