They are "real doctors who prescribe meds & perform surgeries.

They also do something else that, for me, is invaluable: manipulations.

I've actually had the bones in my skull manipulated. Very gentle & exceptionally effective!

I travel about an hour each way to get to mine!

Here is the professional organization:

I have occasional migraines due to a problem in my neck.

Osteopathic manipulations take right care of this problem.

Osteopathic physician who does cranial sacral manipulation. It sounds as if
you have cranial imbalances possibly from an injury to your head. If the cranial
bones of your skull are shifted, this will cause unnatural pressures that can be
painful.

Osteopaths are trained and licensed equally to MD's. They receive extra training
in the health impacts of cranial sacral issues on health. Some specializes in this
minimally invasive specialty.

I just posted to say I think that Xanaduer needs to get a second opinion, but I didn't know what kind of provider to recommend. An osteopath sounds perfect!

I don't want to sound pushy, but I really believe that's what you need to do.

Seriously, when one health care provider has messed you up that much, you need to see another one to figure out what's going on. If something is dislocated, it's not going to fix itself. Another provider might be able to look at an xray and see exactly what's wrong. You owe it to yourself to find out.

Just make an appointment with someone and say you feel like something's out of whack, and want a second opinion. What have you got to lose?

I really, really hope you will do that.
