Related: About this forummy new lack of sadness depression
Good morning
I struggle with BP2 and SAD.
Last year, I moved from NY to SC in part to reduce the symptoms of SAD. It worked. I didn't get overly depressed last winter or this winter so far.
However, I have been struggling with a depression that I have never experienced before.
I don't have feelings of sadness, failure, or despair.
I do have extreme fatigue, irritability, and exhaustion.
I can't get enough sleep.
I'm struggling with concentration, self-care, and eating.
"I feel an emptiness inside, to which I cannot relate".
I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts about what I am experiencing. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year.

I have extreme difficulty falling asleep, and when I do fall asleep, I only sleep for about 4 hours.

(8,488 posts)We can't at our ages. Please consider this as well. The depression might be a side effect of brain disfunction from such things.
I hope you find some peace.
