I've been doing raised bed repairs in the garden and don't feel like doing anything too demanding tonight. However, just because it's fun, I might drop into the Hispanic market and see what kinds of ready made sauces they have. They have become quite "convenience" oriented at that market.
Strawberry kombucha.
Dessert: soft serve ice cream with crumbled up oatmeal raisin cookies in it. Hot tea, Lady Grey.

(1,053 posts)Suddenly had a yen for poutine, of all things. Fired up some waffle fries in the Instant Pot (the only tatties I had on hand) then sprinkled with Daiya (vegan) cheese and doused the whole mess with mushroom gravymorels!
Felt reprehensible but maybe not so much since I have this maybe once every year or two.
Really need to order in some more morels now that its springmaybe the thing I miss most from the Midwest. Just got an email from Forest Glory and I dont want to miss out!

(1,354 posts)Went to large a retirement banquet honoring 8 teachers who retired this past summer from the District I also retired from. A nice green salad began the meal. The surprise plant-based entrée I ordered was a deconstructed veggie lasagna that was actually quite good. Layers of noodle, spinach/onion/garlic, tofu ricotta and sauce splayed across the plate like an opened fan was actually quite beautiful. Bravo to the kitchen staff. I skipped dessert. Cheers!🥂

(11,015 posts)Minced onion, carrot and celery, then kneaded it with ground beef, lamb, and pork, an egg, and enough breadcrumbs to mold it into a coherent mass. Used leftover red sauce as a glaze and baked it until it was done. Lunch tomorrow: meatloaf sandwiches.
