Curried papaya and chicken salad.
Chopped celery and onion; everything tossed in orange curry mayonnaise and served over lettuce greens.

Tangerine kombucha.

1. Lamb chops ...

... with rice and tabouli.

They were on sale at the supermarket. I don't often eat lamb chops, but I do like them.

2. Sloppy Joes on bakery sour dough break and a grain bread. Knife and fork style.

Salad with not a lot of stuff.

3. We ate out two evenings in a row. Family is in town

for my brother's funeral tomorrow. He died after a long battle with leukemia. Tomorrow we bury him in the National Cemetery in Danville, Illinois. Loretta is surprised how well I'm taking all this. She thinks it hasn't hit me yet, and she probably is right. I usually lose it when they have the 21 gun salute and play taps. My brother and I served together on the same ship during the Vietnam War. Our father is also buried in the same cemetery and someday I will be too.

I had walleye, baked potato and vegetable soup.
