I believe I’ve used the quick-cook variety, although the old-fashioned kind should be fine.

Brownberry Ovens stuffing cubes in the bag. They're well seasoned and can be crushed, mixed with egg yolk, chopped onion and finely chopped celery.

I've also seen people use soda crackers crushed under a rolling pin, then seasoned, egg yolk, onion and celery. If you don't want to use egg yolk for either of these I have seen people use melted butter in a more coarse use of the dried seasoned bread cubes..

It was a cornbread stuffing mix with finely chopped up bread & butter pickles & onion.
Well seasoned Brownberry Ovens stuffing cubes sounds like it's worth a try. Thanks

Use whatever you have in the house: breadcrumbs (either fresh or dry), oats, cracker crumbs, leftover cooked rice, etc.

You can adjust the moisture level if it's a dryer ingredient by adding something wet like pasta sauce or ketchup or mustard or soy sauce or ... you get the idea.
