Direct vent gas insert -- recommendations?

My house came with an old gas log in the fireplace. It needs to be replaced. The most cost-effective option, also easiest to maintain, is a direct vent gas insert. (I almost got a ventless system, but changed my mind after reading about potential dangers.)

For those who know about direct vent gas inserts, any recommendations? It's hard to find solid reviews about the different brands. Consumer Reports does not have any information.
