Here is a good hack.

My black Kenmore Refrigerator, purchased in 2000 is losing the magnetic hold force on the freezer door, When I shut the refrig door now, the freezer door opens, but just barely. I had a fresh roll of black ducktape. Secure, but keep 1/2 to 1" covered on the adhesive side, Makes opening a breeze, minimal visual disruption.

.... around the door with the magnet inside ? You can buy replacement gaskets,... they are not so bad to replace. Get your make and model number and you will find the right one on the web.

Click and Clack have said that if your check engine light comes on, cover the light with cut to fit duck tape and you’ll forget you have a problem.

I believe gorilla tape is stronger than duck tape. I tested it. I’m sold. Gorilla tape for me from now on.

On the rubber and around the frame where it meets. You can try just one or the other first which is something I did not try.
