solar to the house. I knew under KS democratic governor some rules had been reinstalled since brownback tried to bury the industry. Also the Feds have a tax incentive that would help defray the cost.

What's bee happening under trump has worried me about getting caught in something with no way to pay for it now. So, today, when I got a message asking if anyone had taken a picture of my fuse box, I texted back that yes... the rep had come out last weekend. Also, unless things change drastically, the entire situation was a no-go for us with trump cancelling all "green deal" programs and firing everybody who works with the Feds. Told her I hated to say that, but knowing what I knew about him, *I* didn't vote for him.

I just got back a one word text message -- "Okay." Something tells me I'm not the only one who's backed out of this program because of what trump and musk are doing! Thought afterwards, too... maybe she DID vote for trump. Surprise! FAFO.

Decentralizing energy generation is smart on many levels...like national security for instance.

I remortgaged my home back in 2019. Needed a new roof and decided to install solar panels with battery back-up. I dump 500;000 watts of energy onto the grid -monthly. For that privilege, I pay Central Maine Power $35.00/mo.

Anyways, the total cost was around $30K, After tax credits, it cost me around $20K. I probably won't live to see the payback, but I'm guessing the fact that I can generate my own power and have a well with 50 acres....it will benefit my kids.

3. Absolutely OAITW!

The grandkid will inherit this house, and one of the points I made sure to ask was in guarantee and warranty went with the house, not the originating person. I want to make sure he's protected by warranty, as well. Crap. That was a present tense sentence. The original guys came by to take pictures of something about the outside of the house, and I told my husband to tell them just what I told the woman on the phone yesterday. We're pulling out because trump is pulling all credits and monies. And, no matter what he says from minute to the next, we will not risk ourselves or our house on his word alone. Hubby wasn't happy, but dealing with these two guys, I felt it would have more impact in today's world if the "man of the house" (!) told them what I told him to say! (LOL)

I do hate things turned out this way, tho. And I'm not giving up. I've just got to get through aristocratic autocracy movement and back into democratic country. Like you, especially by then, I'll not see the payback, but my grandson will. And I'll be doing my part for the planet (very important to me).
