I decided to switch over to saved coleus seeds rather than purchased seeds so I sowed a combination of my remaining purchased seeds and some saved seeds inside a few weeks ago. Im ok with cross pollination.
Ive transplanted 120 coleus starts so far I could probably separate out 50 more, but I think Ive reached my limit.

(679 posts)They are great for continuous color. Here in PA I overwinter several and have cuttings everywhere that I root and put in soil for the spring. Then I go buy more anyway ☺️

but about tomato plants, not coleus.
I generally wind up giving about half of them away, though.

(4,993 posts)I had about 50 inside at one time. I just love all the colors. Here in one of our parks they use them for bedding in large areas and they look beautiful. At least 300 or more plants in each bed.
