Well, that was a dud

I had ordered seeds for the nicotiana perfume variety and carefully started them from seed. The description promised highly fragrant flowers. They bloomed in only two months from seed but have no fragrance at all. If I had bothered to read reviews from around the Internet instead of the seller’s description, I would have known that.

1. Not to deepen the cut but nicotiana is extremely fragrant so total bum sale. I have had a couple

of plant related non producing items over the years . Always a bummer to waste care and money

But I like nicotiana for its fragrance. I used to grow the sylvestris variety at the last house and it would make you swoon with delight when it released its scent in the evening. It takes a lot more space, but I think I’ll go back to it.

3. Yes delightful . I just returned before posting from Lilacia park a short train ride from Chicago

On a breezy day when they open the train door at that stop across from the lilac filled park the scent this time of year comes wafting in to the car
It was a nice day, and a short ride out for a walk among some sweet sensations
