GRANDparenting, that is.

Heard from my daughter (in NJ) a while ago, and she reported 'stuff' 10 year old grand son has been threatened by a kid @ school who carried a gun to school. The kids play soccer on same team, and are on the same bus.

She said school doesn't know what to do, but they are protecting eddie. Kid's parents are un-cooperative.

I said 'Get grandson out of there,' so we'll see, she may do that. I can handle lots of things, but losing a grand in that way is not one of them.

School has 'steps' to take with problem kids, but hasn't figured out what to do, seems partly/largely due to intransigence of the parents.

I know schools like to wring their hands. This is a time for decisive action.
