my beautiful gentle snowball has passed
found her cold on the kitchen floor. no sign of trauma.
she was warm and comfortable in my arms only hours ago. now only tears and how can i tell my wife when she wakes?
on edit female feline. white. been with me for at least 1o tears.

Over the years I've lost many pets and it never get any easier.
But still our children.
the hardest part of loving our fur babies is losing them. 
I'm glad she didn't suffer. She'll be there when you get to the other side. anyway that's a belief i nurture.
I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet, especially as sudden and unexpected as this was. I extend to you and your wife my condolences.
May sweet memories of your precious Snowball eventually bring you comfort at this sad time.
