Related: About this forumHad a bit of a scare, this morning. One of the kittens was missing. I thought mom was moving them
Then I saw little Tegan AND heard mom, so hopefully she's going to keep the here.
I put Tudor with his siblings but will keep an eye on things. He runs to me when he hears me approach so I'll do a lot of observing through a window.
The one decision I've made is, if she DOES start to move them, he's not going. I just have zero trust in her desire to care for him. I wish you could really see and appreciate how tiny he is - much smaller than his siblings. If there would be a repeat of what happened earlier this week, he would not make it.

(27,543 posts)I'm going to be ready with food for him, in case she is in the process of rejecting him.
It looks like I'm not going to get much done, today, save for watching over Tudor.

(3,085 posts)I think it would be less stressful on you if you didn't have to worry about him so much. Good luck in whichever way you decide to go!

(40,321 posts)When we rounded up some kittens years ago to be neutered and released Tiger was the tiniest kitten, thats how he got his name. All the others have dispersed. Hes the one that stuck around all these years, he was here again last night and I expect to see him tonight. Hes still feral but he lets me pet him. And he responds when I talk to him. Sounds like Tudor Is a keeper!

(27,543 posts)but I'm tipping towards taking him in. I don't know - maybe a little bit of my spirit went in to him when I was working to revive him. He certainly does seem to have bonded with me.

(27,543 posts)I'm just not at all confident that she's nursing him. And it's dipping into the 40's tonight so I'll be keeping a really close eye on him, as the sun sets.
And, yes, I do have a special bond with that little miracle. I guess we 'imprinted' on each other.
