I am pretty sure I saw his mom nursing him, this morning. When I went out to check on him, again, mom was off on a ramble and his 3 sisters were quite a distance from him. He was behind the Passion Flower plant which is where mom seems to like to nurse the kittens. It is a very fragrant location.
Tudor seems to be doing just fine. Bronwyn is the 2nd smallest, then Tegan and Rhian is the biggest. I'm going to try and weigh them, today.
The goat milk/pate slurry seems to be a big success. I have it pre-mixed in an glass salad dressing bottle so that I can feed Tudor at a moment's notice. He does have a good appetite.
Here's a photo of him next to his sister, Tegan. I think you can get an idea of the size difference.

(27,543 posts)It's going to be hot, today, so I'm planning on sipping some wine and catching up on my reading in the shade of the Maple tree. I anticipate some tiny, furry company. I'll have a bowl of water for them. They are much too young for wine.
It's hard to believe that it will be a week, Tuesday morning, since I found him unresponsive in the yard.

(96,871 posts)At least there seem to be terms established in their minds that there is an alternative mom who has food, shelter and love.
Cuteness is such good therapy.

(27,543 posts)When I saw mom was gone, I'd go to the shelter to check on them. Once their ears unfolded and their eyes opened I'd talk to them and attract their attention so they'd look at me. When they were about 2 weeks old and becoming active, I'd pick them up, just for a few seconds, and give them some gentle scritches. They knew from a very early age that I wasn't a threat.
Just like Arthur, Tudor would always climb over his siblings and come to the shelter opening when he'd hear my voice.
