Adopted a new best friend today!

Can't stop crying. So happy and grateful that I get to love this little dude. He came with the name Easy Cheese, lol! Will wait and see if he tells me he has a different name.

He's around three years old. The shelter had him neutered and all shots done. He's a ringer for my dear Leo, trying hard to not expect the same personality. So far, he's super sweet and seems to feel safe with me and shyly asks for pets. I'm excited to watch his unique personality come out as he gets comfortable here. He's in the guest room to acclimate and is happy to explore when I sit in there with him. I'm just so happy!

I used to trip over Leo all the time, it’s like perfect camouflage, lol!
It’s been so weird and empty here since Pooper died, unsettling and lonely not sharing my time and space with any cats. These past several months are the longest I’ve ever been without a pet. Maybe my higher power made wait until the perfect little buddy was waiting for me to come get him, until I grieved and was ready to open my heart and fully appreciate having a little dude again.

Was feeling his legs and he feels big-boned. He is a bit on the thin side under all that fluff, so I have a feeling he’s going to be a chunker! He came from, not necessarily a pet hoarding situation, but it sounds like his old home was headed that way until someone stepped in.

Had a couple of mostly orange cats (male and female, not related). He looks like he's making himself at home. We took in a couple of dumps end of 2021/sprint 2022. Both are really good cats and are the best of buddies.
