I went back to same adoption agency, just to browse.
They still had LilGlad's twin sister!!!
Welcome home, LilGlad2, 7 years old, and a bit spunkier than her sister. But, a great snuggler.

But I had a Kitty #2 as a second cat in my youth.

And right on going with a mature pet, they can languish in rescue or worse. Yes you will have have to deal with elder pet issues but mature rescues have life experience to approciate a good placement.

23. I expected she would be

Nervous, in her new home. It's been fairly calm, I think the scent of her sister here, slows her down.
She , sits in the same spots, sleeps, in same spot when I go to bed.
I didnt have to adjust much, I can still say " come Glads", and she's there.
As I said, she's a bit spunkier, the other night, I was walking to bed and I saw her, out of corner of my eye, hunched,
She jumped, don't know, what she was hunting.
I reacted, lost my grip on counter, and fell , hard. A couple minutes later, when I crawled to bed, she was in her sleep spot beside me
Maybe, she was hunting me, LOL she won round 1
