This morning, Merlin was beyond sweet

I startled awake from a strange dream and he immediately ran up and patted my face and then curled up with me. A while later he hopped up on my lap for some very rare morning snuggle and purr session.

This makes up for the other day. I was crouched down, trying to realign the dryer vent. First he jumped up on my back. As soon as I raised my head, he jumped up on it and attempted to use it as a launching pad to get up on the cabinet. When he realized there was NO way he was going to make that jump, he turned, claws extended, and jack rabbited off of my head, leaving me with a bloody head wound. That REALLY hurt!

Naturally, as soon as I stopped screaming 'OWWWWW' , I forgave him. I do still have a bit of a raised area on my scalp but it's slowly healing.

He definitely has a very different demeanor from the other kid cats. He is in constant motion and as mischievous as they come. My brother said that I should have named him Mordred instead of Merlin.

5. Oh, I hate a puncture wound to the head. And it bleeds like hell. I hope it got better. What a kitty.
