The neighbors dog came for a visit. Labs forever puppies in their hearts.

He was looking for Dunc to play with my golden retriever chonk is at pup camp. This boy is older yellow lab i think ten anyway i heard woof at the door and let him in.

Text the owner a nice lady up the road Oscar is over for visit they moved down road maybe eight months ago.
Oscar came strolling in with a stick dropped his awesome stick got a big drink out of the water bowl we hung out i loved him pets scratches belly rubs.

Then Oscar climbed on the couch took a snooze as i read then i made P.B.J. for lunch.
Oscar woke up he scored half a peanut butter sandwich. Then he found Duncs squeak monkey and started shaking toy squeaking toy play Grrrr we played tug of war.

Then Pup went to the front door i thought he had to use the yard. I opened the door and Oscar took off down the porch toy monkey in his mouth and hooked a left for his house moving with a purpose for a ten year old best boy.

Oscar Mom text me a bit ago asking if the monkey was ours i said it’s his to keep and Oscar left his stick behind.

LOL - left a stick in place of the squeeky monkey. Won't Dunc miss it?

Sounds like a perfect visit from your furty neighbor.

With our other dogs, I agree with you that labs are puppies until they're 10.
Except for Vincent. He calmed down like an old soul in about 18 months.
4 other dogs over 40 years met your description to a "T".
Vincent is the surprising exception.

Oscar knows where to go to get some extra love.
And a snack.
And a toy.
Smart boy.

...house every Friday. We were living on base at K.I.Sawyer AFB. They were Catholics who still observed the no meat on Friday routine and they would give Max their leftover fish.

He was mostly an indoor cat, but did like to visit these neighbors, and they liked it, too.
