March 24 is the @CherokeeNation national day of remembrance. It marks the arrival of the final detachment of our people in Indian Territory on the Trail of Tears. It was 180 years ago.

they natives who were on the Trail of Tears were not land or slave owners. The ones wo may have has that kind of "wealth" were not living with tribal peoples usually. And if they *did* have anything of 'value" the Government stripped them of everything before kickiing them down the road...

anyway, my Great, great, grandfather is on those rolls... its a mndbender to th8ink if he hadn't survived, I wouldn't be here!
