Japanese Seoul 1937 -- Koreans and Americans comparing old Seoul to modern

Enjoyed Dr. Petersen's discussion of this unusual circa 1937 panoramic photograph of Seoul. I visited the former Resident General's building before it was torn down in 1994. At that time it was being used as the National Museum. There are some other famous landmarks that still exist. The contrast between present day Seoul and this historical record is astounding. I hope you don't find his two young acolytes too distracting. Bangtan girls? Nevertheless the discussion brings out some of the historical perspective that still affects Korean attitudes today. It's in English.
