Remember when some NRA yahoo asked a R. politician "When can we start with 2nd Amendment remedies?"

I remember that nonsense. It was all over broadcast media at the time.

That's the difference between "us" and "them."

We favor collective, non-violent protest, even as our Federal government gets carved up before us.

However, I would like to see us turn up the heat on Trump, Elon and his Bond-villain minions a couple of notches.

Get bodies into the streets and man the barricades!

Before this neo-fascist counter-revolution ends the 200+-year American experiment for good.

Tell me I'me over-reacting....

e “Shay’s Rebellion” 1787. Didn’t work out so well. George Washington even came out of retirement to end it.

Someone could look at your 2 statements here, and deduce they should get more violent, because that's how they are, psychologically. Some of our own politicians have been saying lately that "We are at war", and war usually entails gunfire. That's not what I want. Some other individuals, however, are HOPING for a "civil war". Inflammatory talk just eggs them on.

and as I remember I and millions more voted a couple of months ago. Things didn't go as we might have wished but that's democracy for you.

As for demonstrating that is certainly a right. First amendment. "peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Historically protests do more harm than good. Pisses people off. Any protest needs to respect the rights of others, such as those others using our public streets and walks to come and go.
