Video: Some thoughts on the war in Ukraine
This video was released yesterday by a podcaster named William Toti (Capt, USN Ret). Capt Toti was a Submarine Commander aboard the USS Indianapolis, was Commodore of Submarine Squadron 3 out of Pearl Harbor (and other assignments). His guest is Jon Parshall, who has authored several books on the Second World War, specifically the Pacific war. Capt Toti co-hosts a weekly podcast called "The Unauthorized History of the Pacific War" (caution, if you're a history buff of the Pacific camapaign during World War II, you WILL do down a deep rabbit hole).
Capt Toti and John Parshall put together this video with thoughts and our current "response" to the Ukraine war. The video is about 70 minutes long, but provides an in-depth as to how we got here and the extreme danger the current Junta in the WH is placing this country in by taking a weak position relative to Ukraine. The two gentlemen admit they are to the right of center in their politics, but their assessment of the prosecution of the war over the last 3 years is sober and credible. They do critique the level of defense assistance the Biden Administration provided (they graded them a B to C), they stated the Biden Administration should have gone all-in from the outset to provide Ukraine with military weapons (Abrams, ATACMS, HIMARS, F-16) as soon as Ukrainians could be trained to operate them.
That said, be careful sending it to your MAGAt relatives, as the conclusion takes serious issue with the Convicted Felon and the Junta's pivot toward authoritarianism. Quick summary, they believe President Zelinskyy was in the right to push back against the Convicted Felon and Shady Vance in the Feb 28 meeting.
