It really was a phenomenal journey, captured in compelling prose. Good for her!

I'm in the middle of The Secret History and can recognize the growth of her voice and art from this first work to the latest.

Her characters are so unusual and interesting and she really brings them to life.

I really enjoyed The Secret History, too.

In today's NY Times Book Review, there's an interview with her, in which she says that "The Goldfinch" is one of several books she's currently reading.

I am almost finished and parts of it are depressing to me because I'm feeling sorry for all this guy has gone through in his life. The prose is amazing though and it is very well written. Maybe summertime isn't the time to read something like this

It is beautifully written, isn't it? And once again: I hope the movie does justice to the novel.
