dancing before cherubim seraphim odd angels and gods
the sweat from the brow drips in all haste and in all fear
hear a cacophonic angry anthem in a time signature odd
in a wild gyration of the hips bleeding the blood of tears
the audition to enter paradise to perform in eternal bliss
singing praises of omnipotence before the invisible being
forever paying the high price for the touch of death’s kiss
worshipping king and prince with averted eyes unseeing
the echoes ring and reverberate inside of the ears forever
whole hollow notes are sounded of the basses dull rumble
furious fiery violins scratch and screech a hellish endeavor
crescendos of tympani pounded reduced to mere mumbles
afraid to meet the judges stares afraid to hear the verdict
await the audience’s evil glares await the score imperfect
