sore back and neck yet pliant at the edge of desolation
unready to give up the fight eager to make the decision
to creep hidden by imagination and the wishful thoughts
preying on the innocent and weak saliva fills the mouth
cold shadows cause trepidation life the toss of draughts
appearing cringing and meek no longer hiding the doubt
loose thoughts take time to pray does the quiet god hear
perform the rituals of the hunt to carefully plait the hair
don the robes of the sacred day shivering in sudden fear
testing the blade sharp or blunt and slicing the soul bare
comes a time to open secret eyes and look into the future
to quickly drop the dread disguise the cloak of a butcher
