Purdue knocks off their second top 5 team of the season

I actually didn’t see it as I was watching #6 Cincinnati hold on against Tulsa

There might be a big drop-off between Georgia and Alabama to the rest of the FBS teams anyway.

Although Ohio State beat Nebraska today by more points than any of their opponents this season, it didn't look very impressive. And the Buckeyes' freshman QB might be talented as a passer, but he obviously gets very rattled when there's much pressure on him at all. He also stubbornly refuses to run even when there's broad open field in front of him.

Not sure how the refs missed it, it was right in front of them. Right at the moment end.

7. Yep, I saw it.

Although there's often missed or bad calls, but they're usually only noticed when they happen against the underdog.

The Buckeyes' idiotic decision to attempt a pass late in the game, which resulted in Stroud getting sacked and fumbling on first down, could've easily been the turning point if it wasn't recovered by Ohio State. Wide open field for a scoop and score if a Nebraska defender reached it first, which would've likely put them ahead by a point as time was expiring. (Although maybe not with THAT Nebraska kicker.)

8. Yes, their kicker is bad.

They could have won against both MSU and OSU with a decent kicker. We could be looking at a very different scenario.

Nebraska lost every game by one score or less until today. A good kicker surely could've helped turn several of those losses into wins.

I also think Nebraska might regain national prominence whenever Adrian Martinez finally graduates. Very athletic quarterback, but I've seen him make so many bone-headed mistakes over the years despite me not regularly watching the Cornhuskers.

If Michigan puts enough pressure on OSU's Stroud, this might be the year that they end their losing streak against them.

Or they'll injure him early and a backup QB beats them again.

Ohio State has the #1 rated QB among 2022 recruits on the team already, who hasn't played because he decided to skip his senior season in high school (enough credits to graduate) and he only joined the team shortly before this season started. Quinn Ewers, a bigger-bodied blonde-haired kid with a rocket arm. (He actually traveled with the team to Nebraska, so the coaches must be gaining some trust in him learning their plays and overall system.)

12. I went back and looked it up.

Nebraska didn't miss a field goal against Michigan (from what I can tell). But they didn't go for a gimme field goal early on, I assume because they had trouble, came away with no points, and lost by 3.

That was a weird, tense game, poorly officiated on both sides of the ball.

Good luck against Penn State. Playing in their stadium is rough.

The Ohio State band stopped going there with the team for awhile after getting hit by urine-filled balloons years ago.

The OSU/UM game is still a great rivalry, but I'd be upset if their fans ever treated the opposing fans like this:
