(28,590 posts)I really wanted Toronto to win. And there was a horrible missed call earlier in the game that cost Toronto a power play (we were debating whether it would be a penalty shot or a penalty, and were horrified when it was neither).

(6,483 posts)And don't even start with the missed calls. It goes both ways.
Lohrei was boarded the other night which should have been a major penalty, game misconduct and a suspension. No call on the ice.
Yes, I too am "horrified" by the officiating. It stinks. But the bad calls and non-calls go both ways.
As a Bruins fan, I can make the case that the refs, mostly Canadian, hate the Bruins and make calls showing that prejudice.

(28,590 posts)I usually root for O6 teams and then Canadian teams, but Bruins fans kind of spoil it for me (I like the city of Boston, and often root for their teams when my Detroit teams are eliminated). But a few years ago I was at a hockey bar watching the Bruins and the Blues and the Boston fans were..... difficult. Which is strange because Red Sox fans seem fine.

(6,483 posts)Decades ago I was in a bar in Montreal with my then girlfriend who got punched in the face because we were rooting for the Bruins against the toilet seats. There are ASSHOLE fans in every city world wide.

(566 posts)I shed no tears for Toronto, only because the friendly rivalry btwn the East and West. I can't brag either. The Canucks have never won a Stanley Cup. I only wish as a Canadian, is that Toronto moved forward in the playoffs
