Sharks fan tries to attack team mascot, Sharkie.

No, it wasn't a paranoid Trump.

The @SFGiantsMemer X/Twitter account posted a video of a male San Jose Sharks fan nearly starting a fight with Sharkie. An usher breaks up the quarrel before it escalates, with Sharkie putting up its hands and feigning surrender.

According to the X account, Sharkie just wanted to sit beside the fan, who fell out of his chair. For some reason, the fan blamed the beloved Sharks mascot instead of his klutzy self:

The question of the day, to give you a break from the clown show in DC, is:

WHAT MASCOT ARE YOU TEMPTED TO PUNCH OUT? (But please don't!)

Bay Area fans seem to want to take on the Stanford Tree.

DO NOT mess with Ralphie, the CU mascot. Now in 6th generation. All Ralphies have been female.

As far as mascots go, I'm a Wisconsin Badger fan and would advise against trying to start something with Bucky Badger. He may have a smile on his face but even large predators in nature and, I would hope, sports fans, know that you don't want to tangle with a badger. They will go ferociously nuts in a heartbeat if attacked.

Ouch. Tufts had an elephant, patterned after P.T. Barnum's Jumbo, but I don't recall a real one. Jumbo's remains burned in a building fire. In Barnum Hall.

Sad story.

Just the usual mascot stuff.

Damn, I kind of wish I hadn't read that story...

You use people in costumes instead of animals and they get attacked.
