I'm at a loss for words......I can't yell "atta boy" when a basketball, baseball, football or soccer player of Color

does something great. What can I yell???

Or... Awesome play!
Personally I never liked being called boy once I reached my teens. I found it derogatory and condescending. I'd imagine other young men, men and older men feel the same. Does that seem reasonable? Hope it does. And thanks for considering my perspective.

I often find myself yelling “Well done!” or “Thank you!” If it’s my team, I know most of their names, so it’s “Thank you, Sean!” Since I am a lady of a certain age, I figure I can get away with an occasional “Nicely done, darling”, or “You don’t want another foul, honey”.
What I yell at officials and announcers shall remain private.
