2024 Tesla Model 3, This Car Monitors Everything-Including You WIRED

Run time 11:08

The 2024 Tesla Model 3 has some of the most advanced navigation, autonomous driving, and safety features currently on the market, meaning it's full of equipment that can record and track your surroundings-and you. How much data does Tesla collect? Where is it stored? And can you trust them to protect your sensitive information? WIRED decided to investigate. This is Incognito Mode.

...of the electronics and any data collection in my 1966 Chevy Caprice.

More recently a friend switched cell service providers just to get an iphone. After a few months I asked his opinion. He said that it was incredible. It could tell him (or his wife) where he was. It could connect to his bank for bill payments and his various accounts for online bill payments and monitoring. He could use the GPS features for directions and maps of other areas. He could take pictures, maintain his calendar of appointments, update his list of contacts, send email, watch youtube and play games.
I asked if he had any complaints. He said call audio sometimes breaks up and drops.
My conclusion: the fancy phone was really great at many things but not so much as a phone.
