I'm hearing contract numbers discussed ranging from $500 million to $700 million.

Who will bite?

1. He'd be a big draw in Vegas

anywhere else but the A’s have a fast food payroll so they can afford him.

2. If he goes to Las Vegas, he will be playing in a minor league stadium for possibly the next three

years. He won’t go anywhere but to the Dodgers and as a Giants’ fan that will bum me out.

on one player, is a huge gamble.

risk if they choose.

7. Yeah. If I was a GM I'd spend on the impending free agents of smaller markets

Athletics, Guardians, Royals, Reds, Pirates, Orioles, etc.

Get three or four decent players at their prime instead of one.

via free agency. I miss the days where you had ball players together for several years.

I think if he moves at all, it will be for exactly one reason: jewelry. The greatest player in the game deserves a World Series ring, and he surely won’t get one as an Angel.
