I was thinking the same thing, Bayard...With a couple prompts added to a camera's software processing, simply and perfectly. Yep, "almost...," just a split-second before the camera lens shattered like Ella's amplified voice...

GREAT shot you posted, OP--you really rocked that "bird in flight" perhaps way beyond the limits of visual acuity and cognitive belief. Is that you, Bayard, explaining the natural world's chaos theory, Professor Malcom? Wish this brain now wouldn't have to consider "almost."

Absolutely no disrespect to the OP - I'm absolutely convinced, a reality believer, that shot is absolutely and really beautiful...

I think I said that. I'm also saying it almost looks like a watercolor painting, (and would be a nice one), instead of a photo.

Is the shadow play on the wings meant to represent the equinox? The subtle shades on the right wing makes me think so.

with a different title. The shadows were why I chose it.

In my earlier thread today, I chose photos of a leucistic owl to represent ''winter'' leaving.

It always makes me feel better to know I wasn't far from right with my impressions 😊 (or at least, not too far)
