I'm lucky if I see 2 hummingbirds a year, and neighbor dramatically cut honeysuckle so not expecting any!

(33,258 posts)... the water temperatures in the region near you were warming above 50 degrees, and fish were on the move. Hope it's a much better year for them.

(141,107 posts)and HOPE neighbor gets a reasonably-priced bamboo remover, as I canNOT see the nest now, either from my 2d floor window OR adjacent parking spots.
I've never seen them CATCHING a fish, but just now saw one flying past my window(s) CARRYING a fish (and another or the same one, just flew past in the opposite direction, NOT carrying anything!

(33,258 posts)to clear your view. I just use a handsaw on bamboo that is about 15+ feet tall.
Isn't the male Osprey expected to make gifts of fresh fish to his mate? Then he might have to search for fresh branches, while she searches for clumps of grasses for the nest. That might explain all the flybys you are seeing.

(141,107 posts)Neighbor/landlord's working on bamboo solution, and as I don't OWN the place, I pretty much go along with his endeavors. He's used handsaw type instruments in the past, but it's way overgrown now.
