Good morning. I am always in awe of people who have taken the time to really get to know their birds,

or avian dinosaurs as they are known in my field of expertise. Other than a few of the more common birds, this is me.

You need a spoiler in there, a picture of a bat labeled "not bird." Thanks. NT mahatmakanejeeves 17 hrs ago #2
That's funny, I thought I had a meme in one of my folders with a "not bird", but this was the only one I could find. generalbetrayus 17 hrs ago #4

Took a second to see the print.
I love em all but the damn crows. Those MF’re “murder” pack here destroyed my yard this winter plowing up the grass to get to the June bug larvae.
“Basted’s”.
A tough 8 week summer semester for our Wildlife Students. They had to learn, 100+ species by sight, Male vs female plumage, and voicing. Adults vs juvenile and seasonal variations. And to add to it, scientific names from kingdom through species. What they hated most was classes start at 6:00 AM to get to the fields to hear and see their morning calling.
A lot of these students had a hard time speaking and spelling English. This class thinned the herd a bit.
The dinosaur connection is really amazing to dive into.
Your book cover of Peterson’s guide really cracked me up..
I had a few students that would miss peek those species As Bird. They were thinned, then became MAGA’s. And poachers.

He reminded me of a screech owl - short, chunky, with a beak nose. He was a great guy, threw us a beer party after the lab final.
