Near Truth or Consequences. She’s always telling me about how many hummers she has she says a drink up a quart of nectar at least every day

Seems like there are less every year, even with putting out feeders, and planting yummy flowers.

5. It's getting hot in the Sierra Foothills, so birding is going to slow down for me.

I just wanted to share this crop of a hummingbird. (taken yesterday) I might try early mornings and evenings, but the light is reduced, and I need all the light I can get for shutter speed.

Without further ado, "gossamer wings". You can see through them in this pic.

I made two trips out there yesterday and I slept late today. (I live on a ridge)

Hummingbirds usually visit my neighbor, the one with all the bird feeders, and I wait for the wildflowers to bloom.

Might be time for some feeders over here!!

However, the flowers and birds make for sweet photos.

Enjoy!!
