(16,251 posts)The teams, officials, media, and fans. The NY gov has already announced a travel ban for that part of the state starting this evening, shortly after the game would have been over.
Also, all of the first responders are needed elsewhere. Last time there was a weather event as bad as this one is predicted to be something like 50 people died.

(12,801 posts)and then you have to have the emergency services staying out risking life and limb to 'rescue' the fools. A little sympathy there too?
And, yes, people in certain climes have learned to live, and go about their business. But the crowd showing up to a football stadium - are not uniformly made up of the knowledgeable and experienced. (to understate the matter by a considerable distance)
