Interesting trade...

Seems my Seahawks have traded Percy Harvin to the Jets. Good luck to both. Percy hasn't been working out for us guys, so sayonara. There have been some rumors floating around and looking back, they seem to have been building/preparing for this, just looking for an appropriate suitor. Apparently, he hasn't been happy with how things are going, in spite of the team obviously trying to showcase him.

Hopefully, this will allow us to get back to the smash-mouth brand of football that was such a success last year.

it's not really uncommon for a Superbowl winning team to suffer from some post-season weariness, so I wouldn't be surprised to see some level of mediocrity from the Seahawks for a while. Takes a lot of energy to be smash-mouth, you know! They need some recovery time...

As for Harvin and the Jets...

I may be a cynic, but I don't see anything good happening here.

The Jets have been the 3-ring circus of the NFL for a number of years. If Percy Harvin has been as much of a disruption to other teams as we've heard, this won't turn out well. As a Patriots fan (who, to put it mildly, doesn't like the Jets), all I can do is sit back with my and watch the show with much amusement.

didn't seem to do them any good in week 8...

They've been nothing but a hot mess the past few years. I don't even think the Football Gods can help them now...
