Alabama's Nick Saban vs. THE Ohio State's Urban Myth

The historic first NCAA Football Playoffs are on the way! No. 1 Alabama will play No. 4* Ohio State in the Semi-finals.

One of the key matchups in this game will be head coach to head coach. Seems these two have met before!

The last two times they met, Nick Saban made Urban Meyer quit.

Literally.

So with Saban and Alabama headed toward a Jan. 1 semifinal playoff game against Meyer and Ohio State in New Orleans, the Ohio State AD might want to update his list of potential coaching candidates.

Just in case.

*or is it No. 5, 6, or 7?

ROLL TIDE!!

RAMMER JAMMER, YELLOW HAMMER.

On a side note, fumbles were a big part of Oregon's win, and right now it is looking like THE Ohio State University is trying to do an FSU. Still, there's a lot of football yet to be played.

but OSU is dominating with 3x as many yards. The only thing I felt controversial about Ohio State is they weren't higher than 4th.

Nick Saban is filthy rich and has a compassionate side.

At least we dodged TCU - thank you, selection committee!

This was a rebuilding year for Alabama - I know, scary, right? - and Alabama had some over-achievers like perennial backup Sims and last-man-standing Cooper, combined with no-name offensive and defensive lines and linebackers, and many Alabama fans were very worried about luck running out. It did.

It is now 2 years since the last Alabama National Championship. We are admittedly getting a little antsy. But "The Process" works, so Saban has time. Killer quarterback coming up, outstanding players waiting in the wings, defense and offense can only get better.

We'll still see Urban Myth coaching in Canadian Football League before too long! It's still better to be good than lucky.

Alabama has won the title 4 of the past 6 seasons and they were in the hunt
in the other 2. That was hardly a patchwork of over achievers that Ohio State
beat last night. @ least 8 players from that team will be playing on Sundays.

But in the end the better team won ..... end of story.

The great or most vexing thing about college football is how the teams change annually. Next year, you won't see the same Oregon, Florida State, Ohio State or Alabama.

I'm saying this was a rebuilding year for Alabama and, yes, they were in the hunt, but they were lucky to be there.

However, "Won Not Done." Ohio State is heading into a buzz saw. Good luck!

This is a very good Ohio State team and Ezekiel Elliott and Devin Smith are
as good as anybody in the country. So far Ohio State has beat Michigan (which
played their best game), Wisconsin, and Alabama in a row .... Oregon might
very well win but the Bucks are the real deal this year.

But living in Gainesville for a while and not being a Gator fan I have no doubt that what was going on in Gainesville under Urban is going on in Columbus so its only a matter of time before the team will be out of control.

That being said, no team is as good as Oregon.

Alabama was elevated due to playing in very overrated SEC. They simply were not that good so the OSU win is not a good as it appears.

I wonder if the Bucks beat Oregon which would mean that they beat
Michigan, Wisconsin, Alabama, and Oregon in a row if the haters will
then give 'em some respect?

Time to give it up and say that OSU is the best team in the country.

Look at Miami after Jimmy Johnson. Still a ghost of former decades.

Barry Switzer did the same thing at Oklahoma -- remember the Boz?

A few years of the Urban Myth and your university's morals and ethics will be owned by Satan!

Bailing on OSU is one year ahead of schedule.
