We had no chance today. Neuer (and Boateng and Benatia, for much of the game) was mostly fantastic, as usual. But man, that was not a fun game to watch. Here's hoping Bayern come ready to play next week!!

Don't know how much of a difference it would have made, but minus Ribery, Robben, and with Schweinsteiger only playing at maybe 70% (IMO), that's a tough game to draw, much less win. They held on for over 75 minutes at Barca, which is quite an accomplishment.

Also don't know what Boateng was thinking. He shouldn't have gone for the ball. He's a big guy to get around, should have just stayed between Messi and the goal, narrow his window of opportunity.

It was an accomplishment to hold on for 75 minutes, but most of that accomplishment was due to Neuer (and poor finishing by Barca). I don't know what they were thinking to start with three at the back against the best front three in the world, but it wasn't working at all, and the score could easily have been 2-0 or even 3-0 at the half without Neuer's heroics.
