Mo Salah.
The Men In Blazers show did a most enjoyable interview with him. Kerr lived in Egypt when his dad worked there.
He said if he were the czar of American basketball, he would have everyone also play soccer because he feels soccer players understand triangulating and passing better than basketball players.
You might be able to find the interview on YouTube if it sounds interesting to you.
We love the Men In Blazers.

(186,570 posts)They are usually middle of the pack arent they?
Maybe it just an early run or they have young talent.

(3,622 posts)They'll have established their presence. I wonder if they have the depth on the bench for a full season + matches.

In those days I was a school boy in Brighton. Brighton was a very average 3rd division side but I'd go watch them as often as possible. I think it was only a half crown to get in...10 bob would get you into the stadium, buy a match program, a couple of pork pies and a couple of cups of tea/bovril.

(6,261 posts)Chelsea on Saturday, PSG midweek in the Champions' League, and then Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. This will go a long way to tell us if they're serious title contenders or not. I predict they'll lose to Chelsea and Liverpool, but beat fellow-poseurs PSG midweek.
OK, I admit that I hope that's what will happen. A massive brawl with 20 red cards and lots of injuries in the City - PSG match would bring a big smile to my face.

(3,622 posts)Not to be...and my Reds couldn't find a win at Brentford.
As a consolation though, United lost to Villa.

(186,570 posts)Im a Liverpool fan because my last boss was into them and I needed to pick a team. Oh the absolutely unbelievable years they had two years ago is an accomplishment that most dont recognize and even the football press tried to finish it by comparing it to Man Citys highest ever point total EPL.
Liverpool lost 5 matches total in 2019. They were that one loss to City away from winning the EPL which hey did the next year. In 2019 they won everything else they could win.

very happy today. We root for Arsenal because of them, but we watch all the games. I would watch Arsenal just to look at Mikel Arteta - what a handsome man. And his wife is equally gorgeous.
Our younger son talked my husband into a pretty spectacular college graduation present in 2015. He and his brother, and one of their college team mates, took a trip to London to watch Arsenal play, and got a guided tour of the dressing room and training facilities. They had a great time.
Our sons attended the same college and played on the college team together, which was a real treat for us to be able to see them in the same game, same time, and same place for the 2 years they overlapped. Older son was a forward and younger one a defender, so not competing for playing time, and both were starters and usually played the whole game. It was such fun to see them together on the pitch.
I miss those days.
