It wasnt pretty. We lost 2 to 0 Costa Rica but we are in.
USA has a lot of work to do, not just be competitive, but not get embarrassed when they go to play the big boys
But its still a great thing to be back in, rather than out. Just ask Italy.

(46,154 posts)The Georgia and Greece away games killed us at the end of the day.
Isak has collapsed in form, and Lindelöf is shit. No wonder Manure struggles so much with a CB pair of Lindelöf and Slabhead.
Hats off to Poland. At least Lewa gets his final shot (maybe) at WC glory. Zlatan (he was injured and did not play v Poland) for sure is done in terms of WCs. He will be 44 when the 2026 one is held.

That said we have a better system now in the US that is building for the future.
and anything can happen on match day!

(12,237 posts)...these guys are fearless, and they're too young to understand they can't compete, at least on paper, with England. I think that gives them an edge. An old boxing adage says, "Everyone has a plan until you get punched in the mouth." We come out swinging and punch England in the mouth early, who knows what can happen. I'm hopeful, in not optimistic.
