Cardiff City's 'whimsical' rebrand gamble on red

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18338444

Yeah you read that right. Cardif City FC, also known as the Bluebirds to their fans has some Malasian owners who has "rebranded the club" by changing their colours to red and changed the club crest. This to "be more attractive in the far east market".

What a fucking scandal. Fans will riot over this. These fatcat idiots need to understand that you don't mess with a people's football club.

Another awful example of the mindset of football as "a business" or "a brand". After all, the fans can just take their custom to Swansea if they prefer that brand of the product, right?

This for a club that dates back to the 19th century.

I can't see Cardiff Blues changing their colours any time soon.

To be honest I watch Rotherham Titans in Rugby Union as much as I watch Sheffield Wednesday these days.

You can change your politics, your religion, your spouse, but you can't change your football team. WHTID.
