To be blunt, my own personal direct experience has led me to see that organized religion of mostly any kind, as well-intentioned as it's followers may be, is first and foremost a scam if it is based solely on "faith", which is merely the suspension of physical reality, as the vast majority of religions are.

Spirituality on the other hand allows for the exploration of any and all unseen possibilities without the need to pretend we know anything beyond what is evidently and really in front of us.

Edit to add:

And you might be pleased to know that here on DU, that difference is very well recognized and respected as you will find multiple forums on both topics, and those individual forums are even clearly separated by the groupings of forums such as Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, and Culture Forums.

Terribly disappointing. You could see from the get-go that they were so wracked with concern, the poor dear.
