Twin Falls Woman Shares Wiccan Religion

TWIN FALLS • Cynthia Hindes doesn’t wear a cape, or a pointy hat, and she doesn’t fly around on the back of a broom.

If you met her, you might not even know she was a Wiccan. Calling her a witch is also acceptable.

On Thursday afternoon, Hindes sat in her Twin Falls home, a large tabby cat on her lap. Her living room was filled with candles, plants and books on Tarot.

“(Wicca) is the belief that God, godness, spirit, whatever you want to call it, is not dead, but in every one of us,” she said. “I call it godness. God is so masculine. Goddess is so feminine. Godness is neutral.”
