☦️ 🤍🪻 Eastern Orthodox - Explaining the Holy Fire Miracle in Jerusalem every Pascha
The Holy Light of Jerusalem, also known as the Holy Fire, is a ceremony that occurs annually at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem on Great Saturday, the day before Orthodox Easter. During the ceremony, the Greek Orthodox Patriarch retrieves a flame from the Tomb of Christ, then passes it to other people in the church, who each have a candle. The flame is then distributed from candle to candle, and from there to churches around the world.

Orthodox Easter is calculated based on the first full moon after Passover, which occurs between April 4 and May 8.
The Orthodox Church uses the Julian calendar to calculate Easter, while other Christian denominations use the Gregorian calendar.

What's the Difference Between Easter and Orthodox Easter? | HISTORY
Apr 8, 2022
Orthodox Easter takes place between April 4 and May 8, following the first full moon 'after Passover'. Orthodox Easter always falls after the Jewish celebration of Passover, because, according to the New Testament, the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ took place after he entered Jerusalem to celebrate Passover.
