John has been very ill the past ten days with a serious infection. In and out of hospital, and now back in again. He’s asking for prayers and good thoughts. He says it’s very serious, and if treatment doesn’t work this time, he will have to endure a third open heart surgery. The last one of those was very hard on him physically.

I (grasswire) will pass on any messages.

Update on the condition my condition is in:

YUUGE thank you to grasswire (and kentauros) for posting this OP on my behalf, asking for prayers & good vibe support ..
I tend to get all embarrassed when it’s so “all about me”, but I guess there’s a time & place for everything.

Update: Doctors are cautiously optimistic .. my heart-valve scan yesterday showed my valve to be still clean & clear. woot. So we are going for 6-weeks of IV-antibiotics at a yet-to-be-determined nursing home/rahab canter. This move to the Nursing Home should be sometime soon, mid-to-late this next week.

No one seems quite sure still of where/how the infection is originating from, which is disconcerting .. but so far I am not being required get another valve replacement, so I’m very happy and relieved about that.

BIG thanks to everyone for all the support & prayers, from so many perspectives. It is very humbling yet tremendously uplifting to feel your support coming from so many different places as well.

Cheers to you all, and keep up the great work until I return to a more active role again.
