Astronomers are a hoot. They describe this planet as "close" because it's only 100 or so light years away. Sure, that's close in comparison with other things in the universe, but please excuse me if I don't get all excited about moving there. The only way we'll get there is by building a wormhole, which is about as likely as getting a fusion reactor up and running this year. Anyway, I'm not trying to harsh their mellow because it's a Big Deal for astronomers to find something like this. So nice going boys and girls. Keep up the good work.

(1,732 posts)And probably won't for 20 years or so. They fire it up, fusion occurs for a split second, and they announce it produced more power than it consumed. It's still in the nascent stage of experimentation.
