Archaeologist assures that spiritual tourism in Egypt's archaeological sites is not 'demonic'

Egypt Independent February 20, 2025

Archaeologist Mostafa Waziri elaborated on the specifics of the spiritual tourism done at certain Egyptian archaeological sites, amid religious concerns that they are demonic in nature.

During an interview with the “Tafasil” (Details) program on Sada El Balad 2 channel, Mostafa Waziri spoke about a type of tourism where visitors from all over the world, particularly the US, come to visit archaeological sites in Egypt and engage in meditation sessions.

Waziri explained that these visitors believe they feel a strong positive energy from certain archaeological places in Egypt.

These visitors come on organized trips to express their feelings of comfort and positive energy when they are in these sites, he noted.

Waziri assured that this does not involve demonic worship or satanic rituals, asserting that those reported feelings of positive energy stem solely from the site’s ambiance.
