Just wanted to say "thanks"!

Good evening, fellow Dwellers in the Land of Rationality -

I haven't visited for a long time, (I think I was last active during Bush 2.0,when I thought HE was the most awful POTUS imaginable!) but, given the the perpetual firehose of nonsense we are all experiencing at the moment, I am feeling especially grateful to all of the people who helped me find my way out of religion and consequently avoid infecting my beautiful, now young-adult, children, one of the things I am proudest of in my life. Deconversion is TOUGH, and there were many online resources that were helpful, but this forum was the place I went to ask questions.

I see some familiar screen names here, and I wanted you (and all of you) to know you make a difference.

Parents can instill a desire to do good in so many ways. Videos of animal rescue comes to mind, but there are all sorts of ways to cultivate a desire to participate in doing good in our children. Religion isn't mandatory.
